Some people pay for the meal, hotel, and gifts with a credit card, but don’t they risk their wife seeing the statement later and finding out?

I’m Kazu, a male member. I can’t think of any card company these days that still mails paper statements. When I hear about a high-income earner whose spouse checks his credit card statements, I get the impression that he married into wealth—perhaps his wife’s family is affluent and he joined their household or became their adopted son-in-law. In an ordinary household, I don’t think either spouse would go through the other’s private information.
