We meet once a week, but from now on, whenever I meet this papa, I’m thinking of wearing pants and sneakers.
(The reason is that we walk around a lot. The other day, we walked from Tokyo Station to just before Yurakucho. He said there were more places to eat around Yurakucho…)
What do papas think when a woman shows up dressed like that?
Would they dislike me?

My suggestion was based on the fact that your papa makes you walk around every time without a reservation.
Do I have this right?
- Going into a restaurant without a reservation, wherever there happens to be an open table

- Choosing a casual restaurant rather than a hotel or a more formal restaurant
If so, I think pants and sneakers would be perfectly fine.
Another respondent suggested wearing a skirt with sneakers, so you may want to take that into consideration as well.
P.S. You’d really prefer him to arrange to meet in Yurakucho from the start, wouldn’t you?
Try bringing it up gradually and tactfully. Hopefully, you’ll have to do less walking...

As long as the overall outfit suits her, I don’t really mind.
I’ve even had women show up for a second date in a hoodie and pants.
If the papa (a male supporter) is the type to have you walk around a lot, I don’t think he’ll mind either.
And if he does care about it, he’ll probably put you in a taxi right away.

I’m especially impressed by women who dress appropriately for the occasion. For a proper restaurant, a dress with curled hair; for a casual neighborhood Chinese restaurant, a Uniqlo sweater, pants, sneakers, and tied-back hair. And of course, sneakers when walking around.
That said, it really depends on the individual. At least try to read the papa (a male supporter) you’re seeing and understand what he prefers.

How about saying something cute like, “I figured we might be walking again today, so I wore sneakers so I can walk more easily♡ What do you think?”
The key is to frame it positively—not “heels are tiring,” but “sneakers make it easier to walk a lot.” I’m sure he’ll understand.
