A man I met before said he was a black-tier member and had submitted proof of income. That’s a lie, right?

Maybe he did pay. But why would you even say that??

It doesn’t seem like they require proof of annual income.

I’m a Black member, but I don’t remember ever being asked for or submitting proof of income—or rather, a tax payment certificate. I did submit one to the salon, though. That said, it’s possible this used to be the rule in the past. Also, since I assume they would look at it if I submitted it, I can’t rule out the possibility that I submitted it on my own because I thought it was required. Now that I think about it, salon members also get a Universe Black membership as a bonus. When I obtained my Universe membership for this year, I did submit a tax payment certificate. There are several possible explanations, so I don’t think we can definitively say they’re lying.

I think this may have come up in answers to other questions as well, but what really matters is how much disposable income someone has on hand, rather than their annual income. In this industry, I believe the important thing isn’t your annual income, but how much you’re able to put toward allowances—including the cost of dates. By the way, I haven’t been asked to provide proof of income.

The fact that they brought up “annual income” is a little questionable. Someone truly wealthy would probably say “income” instead. That’s just my take.

I’m not really sure. I suppose that could be the case, in a way. But I don’t think they asked me to provide proof of my annual income, so it could just as easily be made up. Whether you believe it or not is up to you… haha.
